Who would have thought that VK.Varghese who was running the restaurant at the famous Hotel Seaking on Kochi’s MG Road in the 70s would one day be known as a legend in the field of catering in the state? The success story of Mr Varghese is the story of VeeKayVee’s as well. It was in 1985 that Mr Varghese started Copper Chimney, his first privately owned restaurant at Broadway where the USP was catering for outdoor events. The years of experience he had racked up running restaurants at YMCA, Rama Varma Club and Lotus Club held him in good stead with the movers and shakers of Cochin who trusted Mr. Varghese to deliver, when it came to parties, dinners, corporate lunches and wedding functions. From introducing the chafing dish in Kerala to bringing in authentic Najafgarh tandoors and North Indian chefs, Mr. Varghese was responsible for many of the innovations we see in Kerala’s vibrant catering industry today. With the conviction that responsibilty and accountabilty goes hand in hand, VeeKayVee’s was formed with every member of the team as a stakeholder. For each member it is his own business, his own work. That is what keeps us going strong. Today with offices in Ernakulam, Thiruvalla, Kayamkulam and Thiruvananthapuram, VeeKayVee’s is a name to reckon with in the catering industry.
